The NKOCET Central Library is more than just a repository of books—it’s a dynamic learning space that fosters intellectual curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. Our collection spans across Engineering, Technology, Management, and general personality development resources.

The Central Library of N. K. Orchid College of Engineering & Technology was established in 2008. It is spread over 1021 sq. meters and has a rich collection of books, national and international journals, magazines, personality development books, question banks, and other learning materials in Engineering and Technology.

The N.K.O.C.E.T. Library boasts an extensive and diverse collection, serving as a valuable academic resource for students and faculty alike. With over 60,917 books covering a wide range of subjects in engineering, technology, science, humanities, and management, the library supports both curricular and research needs. In addition to printed resources, the library subscribes to 76 national and international journals along with e-journals, ensuring that users have access to the latest developments and scholarly articles in their respective fields. This rich collection plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of reading, learning, and innovation within the campus.

Note: The library reading room is open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. It is closed on national holidays.

Welcome to the Digital Library! To ensure a smooth, secure, and enriching experience for all users, we have established a set of rules and regulations. These guidelines are designed to promote responsible usage, protect digital resources, and maintain a respectful learning environment. All users are expected to adhere to these rules while accessing the Digital Library, so that the platform remains a valuable and efficient resource for the entire community.

  • College I.D. is compulsory to access Digital/e-library.
  • Digital Library is to be used for academic/Research purposes only.
  • Please handle computer, hardware, software and its accessories carefully.
  • Online Chatting, Playing games, Downloading any pictures/ songs, Videos & misuse of the internet is not allowed in the Digital Library is not allowed.
  • Users must take care of their Pen drives, Cell Phones, and Wallets etc.

Rules and Regulation

To maintain order and ensure fair use of resources, a set of rules and regulations has been established. These guidelines are intended to promote responsible behavior, safeguard library materials, and ensure that all users can benefit from the facilities and services offered. All students, faculty, and staff are expected to follow these rules while using the library.

  1. Books will be issued only after Library membership.
  2. All the first-year students who are member of the library will be allotted Library borrower card No. This number will be valid till the pass out.
  3. Only three books (02 texts Books & 01 PD Book) and one journal will be issued on borrowers’ card for seven days. If the books and journal are not returned within seven days, the Late fees will be charged.
  4. Book Bank facility for every student for every semester. Textbooks and Book Bank Books are returned immediately after every University semester exam.
  5. Wet books will not be taken.
  6. If the book is lost or damaged, the fee of two times cost of current price of the book will charge or replacement of new book.
  7. If the journal is lost or damaged, the fee of five times cost of current price of the journal will be charged or replacement of the same journal.
  8. Smoking, Tobacco, Junk food, Drinks, Chewing Gum, and Foods are not allowed in the library.
  9. Readers should not talk or discuss as they may disturb other readers. The library is a place for Individual Study. Readers are requested to cooperate and keep the LIBRARY a QUIET AND PEACEFUL place. SILENCE is essential in any part of the library.
  10. Mutilation and theft of library materials are offences punishable by law. Appropriate action will be taken by the library against offenders.
  11. Library books and documents must be treated with honour, so that it is prohibited to underline, write notes or pull-out pages there from.
  12. Every user who enters in the library should sign. in & out sign in the Library Entry registers.
  13. Before taken no dues certificate, all dues to the library must be paid.
  14. The library will not be held responsible for the loss of any personal belongings of users.
  15. Newspapers, magazines, and journals must be read only in the library on specific tables and should not be taken to any other reading areas.
  16. Mobile phones strictly prohibited in the library premises.
  17. The library will remain closed on all Sunday and public holidays notified by Hon. Principal.
  18. Suggestions on all aspects, of library services are welcome.

These rules are subject to revision/updation from time to time without assigning any reason.
