The Study Abroad Cell (SAC) at NK Orchid College of Engineering and Technology (NKOCET), Solapur, has established itself as a catalyst for global academic mobility by successfully mentoring students for higher education at leading international universities. Through systematic counseling, career guidance, university selection, application assistance, language support, visa guidance, and pre-departure orientation, the SAC has empowered 91 students to secure admissions to prestigious universities across the world.

The United States has emerged as the most preferred destination, with 38 students pursuing graduate studies at globally recognized institutions, followed by Germany with 29 students, reflecting the growing demand for high-quality engineering and applied science education. In addition, 7 students have secured admissions in Canada, 5 students in France, while 12 students have been admitted to universities in other countries, including Australia, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Austria, Brazil, and Argentina, demonstrating the extensive international outreach of the Study Abroad Cell.

Branch-wise, the highest number of students pursuing higher education abroad are from the Mechanical Engineering Department (54 students), followed by Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (13), Computer Science & Engineering (11), Civil Engineering (10), and Electrical Engineering (3). This reflects the institution’s strong academic foundation and the increasing global aspirations of students across all engineering disciplines.

These achievements are the result of NKOCET’s sustained efforts in building international collaborations with leading universities and industries, organizing career awareness programs, facilitating faculty and student interactions with global experts, and providing continuous mentoring throughout the admission process. The Study Abroad Cell continues to strengthen the institution’s internationalization strategy by transforming talented students from a Tier-II city into globally competent professionals, while fostering academic excellence, cross-cultural learning, research collaboration, and global employability.
